Insurance Work |
|
Insurance work has always been our main source of work.Insurance Company
managers do not appreciate being rung up by their clients complaining of
poor workmanship. The most important aspect of repairing accident damaged
vehicles is to get it right the first time.
Quality control throughout the repair is very important and this can only be achieved if the tradsman carrying out the repair has been taught to a high standard, because as in any trade there are tradesmen and there are tradesmen. (if you get my drift) The workmanship must be of a high standard throughout the whole repair. If for instance the tradesman, or the foreman for that matter, are not up to a high standard and a small dent is left in a guard or door, and the car moves into the paintshop for the paint refinishing process and the painter also is not up to standard the result is the dent is painted over through poor quality control. Even though the owner might not see it, this would be completely unacceptable on three counts: 1 His next door neighbour will see it and point it out. 2 He will then let his Insurance Co know about it and complain. 3 The offending panel will have to be done all over again loosing dignity and money at the same time. Sometimes small things do go wrong when the clients gets their car back, like the filament in a bulb blowing, but ultimately it will be quality control that will give you your name in the insurance world. |

Private Work
|
| Private work is also an important part of our business particularly when your insurance company will not insure you for the fist part of the repair bill which is called an excess. This could range from $100.00 to $1000.00 and more depending on circumstances, such as under 25 year olds, or having had previous accidents, so a large amount of the smaller accidents become private repairs. |
Estimates
|
|
Estimates are part of our service and they are not to be confused
with fixed quotes. Estimates can only be given on the damage that is visual, if for instance frontal damage has occurred and obvious damage is bumper, headlight, indicator light, and, the grille looks fine but when removed, the grille is damaged, some of the mounting points are broken. The only policy to follow is to ring the client and inform them of the problem, never spend their money on parts or labour without their agreement. This way trust is built with your client. |
