
Here are my hifi speakers. They are, in my opinion, arguably one of the best and most innovative loudspeakers ever made. Since becomming a poor student, I've had to sell these speakers however I still have a few spare parts for sale (ie input transformers, power supplys, etc). Give me an email if you'd like to purchase or trade tubes for any of these bits and pieces.

The speakers shown above were rebuilt by myself with new panels and power supplies. The speaker stands are hand made from New Zeland native rimu timber (before logging of native timber became illegal). For those people brave enough, heaps of really good information on rebuilding these speakers can be found at Sheldon Stokes web page.
Above is a picture of a reconditioned bass panel ready for installation.

Above is an old tweeter cell that has been opened up. You can clearly see a black burnt spot on both halves of the panel where the tweeter has arced. A close-up photo of the burn area is shown on the right. Also, the right half of the panel has still got the original diaphragm attached and you can see the diaphragm coating as it catches the light. |
