The 6 programs on THE EXTRA PHYSICS DISC are as follows:
ELECTRO, PHYSICS, PHYSICS2, ELECTRO2, ELECTRO3, OPTICS-1.
The tutorial menu which these 6 programs give you is as shown below.
DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS OF THE PROGRAMS OF THE EXTRA PHYSICS DISC
CHOOSE YOUR SUBJECT BY NUMBER. ----------------------------- 1 - THE FIRST STEPS IN ELECTRONICS: OHM'S LAW.2 - BOYLE'S LAW: PRESSURE AND VOLUME IN GASES.
3 - CHARLES' LAW: PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE IN GASES.
4 - ELECTRONICS: INDUCTION AND TRANSFORMER ACTION.
5 - ELECTRONICS: PARALLEL RESISTANCES AND CURRENT SPLITTING.
6 - OPTICS: CONCAVE MIRRORS - FOCUS, AXIS, CENTRE OF CURVATURE AND IMAGE.

E-15) ELECTRO. Electronics fascinates bright students of all ages from eight to eighty
and older; and it also offers a career in which a lot of money can be earned.
Many students never get there
because of one specific reason:
a lack of understanding of Ohm 's
Law and its corollaries.
ELECTRO aims to instil these fundamental
electronic principles
dramatically and with a sense of humour.
E-38) PHYSICS. Aims at inculcating a knowledge of BOYLE'S LAW on the
relationshlp between pressure and volume in gases. The program can be
run either in demonstration mode or interactively.
E-39) PHYSICS2. Guides the student towards a clear understanding of
CHARLES' LAW, concerning the relationship between temperature and volume
in gases. The program can be operated either interactively or in
demonstration mode - whichever best suits the user's needs.
E-66) ELECTRO2. Electromagnetic induction is a subject of which Physics
exam candidates are expected to have knowledge. Few devices illustrate
this so well as the transformer. The program studies this device with
reference to the relationship between output voltage, input voltage,
secondary coil and primary coil. It presents the user with a wide range
of problems of three distinct types and operates interactively and in
demonstration mode.
E-69) ELECTRO3. This program is a follow-on from the program ELECTRO and
introduces the student to key formulas and calculations relating to current
splitting and parallel resistances. The program can be operated either in
demonstration mode or in interactive mode, and, although it will run without
VGA Graphics, if your computer does happen to have VGA on board, the program
will make good use of this to depict the relevant electronic circuitry.
E-7O) OPTICS-1. This program deals with fundamental ideas on concave
mirrors, which students need to master if they wish to approach the Optics
section of Physics exam papers successfully - key concepts such as pole,
centre of curvature, focus, focal length, and principal axis. Students
are shown how to calculate the position of object and image; and the program
offers a virtually inexhaustible range of demonstration examples and
interactive questions. Whilst the program will run without VGA Graphics,
if your computer does have VGA or better, the program puts this to good
advantage.

Can the IBM-Compatible Physics Software
by Educator Discs and Videos be run on
iMac / Apple Mac computers too?
More and more families schools are finding it worthwhile to put Windows Emulation on
their iMac / Apple Mac computers, so that they can run IBM-compatible software
such as the Physics educational software by Educator Discs and Videos.
When you are thinking of ordering any of this IBM-compatible Physics educational
software for use on any iMac / Apple Mac computer, please check whether your
computer already has Windows Emulation installed, and if not, whether you
could arrange to have Windows Emulation installed, to enable you to run
this IBM-compatible Physics software.
How to Place Your Order
(The '64' in the above phone and fax numbers is the country code for
New Zealand, and needs to be preceded by your
own country's exit code if you are phoning or faxing from outside New Zealand.)
Other Easy Methods of Ordering
Just send a New Zealand cheque or an international bank draft by airmail.
We can accept international bank drafts from every country in
the world.
FOR FAST SERVICE, use any one of the following four methods of ordering.
