Gumball Rally

Stage 1. Left the ship and headed towards Whitford via Cockle Bay School, Broomfields Road, Mangemangeroa Reserve, Whitford roundabout to finish at Pohutakawa Park. Questions had to be answered along the way.

Stage 2. This stage was a "straight line" section where all the intersections were drawn in stick form but the intersection was twisted and redrawn so the arrow you followed always went straight up the page. The stage wound through Ormiston Road area to Ti Iri-A-Rangi Drive, finishing at Botany opposite the town centre.

Stage 3. From Botany, this stage had lots to do on the way, counting traffic light intersections that you passed through and had to obey the lights (there were 15 traffic light intersections - 2 had free turns so 13 was the answer). The stage finished at "McDonalds" after crossing the Waipuna Bridge and following hwy's 10a and 6 (Mt Wellington hwy).

For quite a few Cubs (and parents) this was a first time for this type of event. Well done Cubs - it was quite tricky in parts and as you can see from the results all gave it a pretty good go!
