Fortress Macross is
considered a Japanese anime classic. Better known in the West as the
first story arc of the Robotech series, Macross tells the story of the
struggle of the crew and civilians of the SDF Macross against giant
aliens known as the Zentradi. Against the backdrop of war and
destruction is the love triangle between soldiers Hikaru Ichijo (Rick
Hunter), Misa Hayase (Lisa Hayes) and idol singer Lynn Minmay. This is
the series that first drew Orla into anime and is now proceeding to
make her produce fan fiction for it.
