Pre-course instruction is recommended if you have very little or no previous motorcycle
experience. During the pre-course you will learn how to operate the basic controls of
a motorcycle.
MOTOLIFE Level One (L1)
The Level One (L1) is suitable for novices and for those who need to brush up on skills
before going on to more advanced courses.
At the same time during this course you can sit your Basic Handling Skills Test (BHS), as
required by the LTSA, before you can sit your learner licence.

and the BHS Test. Motorcycles can be pre-booked on a first come, first served basis.
Please ask for further details.
Basic Handling Skills Certificate
The Basic Handling Skills Tests are carried out in accordance with current LTSA regulations.
MOTOLIFE Level Two (L2)
It is an advantage, but not essential, to complete Level One (L1) prior to entering Level Two (L2).
This courses teaches Advanced Handling techniques, open road cornering and power braking.
Level Two (L2) comes in two parts :-
Part One : Theory and range work
Part Two : Highway work
We think that the Level Two (L2) courses has special value as it is a chance for all motorcyclists to
improve and develop more skills, knowledge and survival techniques.
Level Two (L2) is the minimum standard of training that we consider any motorcyclist should have
for street riding, regardless of licence status.
MOTOLIFE Level Three (L3)
This is an advanced course that develops an extended knowledge of road craft, motorcycle
dynamics, handling skills and defensive riding techniques.
The candidate is required to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the fundamental elements
of motorcycling.
Level Three (L3) comes in two parts :-
Part One : Range work and defensive riding
Part Two : Theory, highway work and advanced handling skills
MOTOLIFE also run other courses for groups and clubs interested in improving rider skills and road safety.
