Gakken: Jungler

This unusual tabletop has a push button flip top lid.
The first photo shows the closed unit while the second photo shows the unit open.
This seems to be an 'Official' Konami license (from the Arcade game of the same name) and I've been told the artwork is the same as that found on the full sized 'Jungler' arcade game.
Gameplay wise this game good fun and seems to very much like Coleco 'Slither' or 'Serpentine on the Apple IIe. You start with a snake like creature and the aim is to attack the other 2 (the number increases over time) computer opponents. The Snake is made up of segments and the aim is to shoot the rearmost segment of your opponent to remove the segment and shorten them. The other snakes are also trying to do the same to you.
As with many other handhelds there are 2 Game modes - A & B
- Game A: You move around a maze
- Game B: There is no maze and you can move anywhere on the playfeild.
